Oleg Opalnyk, owner of OPO Custom Design & Restoration, is a highly skilled Ukrainian American building contractor who gained a passion for construction while working alongside his father in Ukraine at a very young age. As a teenager, he moved to Moscow where he improved his skills while working with a local contractor. These early experiences were the foundation for his future in the construction industry.
In 2013, Oleg founded his own construction company in the United States, which now employs 12 full-time builders. In addition to being known for his craftsmanship and attention to detail, Oleg’s expertise goes beyond construction – he is also a trained professional chef. He graduated from the Culinary and Hospitality Institute of Chicago with a degree in restaurant and hotel management.
Beyond his career, Oleg is dedicated to helping Ukrainian refugees establish new lives in the U.S. He provides housing and job opportunities, empowering them to develop skills which enable them to become financially independent and to become active participants in the communities in which they now live. Through his work and charitable efforts, Oleg continues to leave a positive mark on both his profession and his community.
Andrii is a skilled builder with an eye for precision, just like his brother. He is known for his meticulous work and dedication to quality, and brings a strong background in business administration, having earned his business degree at university in Ukraine. As project manager, Andrii trains and mentors new members to the team, oversees projects from start to finish, and maintains a focus on the finishing details that set OPO projects apart.
When he’s not working, Andrii enjoys bodybuilding, outdoor activities, and spending time with family. He has an outgoing personality, a passion for physical fitness, and his eagerness, enthusiasm and attention to detail make him an indispensable part of the team.
Tracy is a vital part of the OPO team. With a CPA and a BSBA focused on accounting, she handles all the contracts and administrative aspects of the business, keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Tracy also manages their AirBnB properties, ensuring each guest is comfortable and has a pleasant and seamless experience.
Outside of work, Tracy loves to travel, especially to sunny destinations where she can relax and recharge. Her expertise, organizational skills and positive attitude make her a valuable asset to both the business and her family.
